Releasing capacity in general practice: invitation to free roadshow
London GPs are invited to a free workshop co-hosted by NHS England and the BMA. The event is intended to improve understanding of the evidence about workload, provide insights into solutions being implemented around the country, and show how to develop a practical plan for action in their area.
Following the publication of the ‘Making time in general practice’ report, NHS England has been working with the BMA and others to identify ways to reduce pressure on practices. The Government has already announced a change to the rules around outpatient booking, intended to reduce GP workload.
NHS England have also heard from practices about ways in which they are helping themselves through working differently. These workshops will present practice staff with case studies and evidence of these innovations, and support practical action planning to reduce pressure.
The events are fully funded by NHS England, and are open to anyone working in general practice as well as local commissioners and others who are supporting general practice.
