LMC patient engagement project wins award at RCGP conference

Londonwide LMCs’ Patient Engagement Project (PEP) was launched in July 2016 with a focus on supporting practices in fostering and developing Patient Participation Groups (PPGs). The experiences and views of London practice staff and patients have directly informed the project’s delivery.

The project team hosted a number of highly successful events as well as producing reports and resources to help support practice teams and PPG members to work effectively together to benefit both patients and practices. The reports have been so well received that the latest publication, ‘Widening participation in your Patient Participation Group, including building a virtual Patient Participation Group’ is our featured resource of the month for October 2017.

The success of PEP has not gone unnoticed and the RCGP invited us to submit an abstract of the project to display as a poster at their annual conference earlier this month. We are delighted to say that our abstract was chosen to be included at the RCGP conference. We designed a poster which was displayed throughout the conference and was very well received.

You can download the poster and other resources to help you build and develop your PPG by visiting our website.

If you would like further information on PEP please email patientengage@lmc.org.uk.
