Cyber Essentials

Cyber Essentials is a government and industry supported scheme to help organisations protect themselves against common cyber-attacks. The award of a Cyber Essentials certificate to Londonwide LMCs should assure you that we have taken all necessary steps to protect our systems against cyber-attacks.

The scheme focuses on internet-originated attacks against an organisation’s IT system and organisations are tested on whether five key controls are fit for purpose, namely:

  1. Boundary firewalls and internet gateways
  2. Secure configuration
  3. Access control
  4. Malware protection
  5. Patch management

If you would like to learn more about the Cyber Essentials scheme and how it might work for your practice please visit the Cyber Essentials’ website.
