CQC inspections and Significant Event Analysis

Our GP support team have seen an increase in the number of ‘Inadequate’ and ‘Requires Improvement’ CQC reports which identify the lack of awareness, discussion and/or documentation of Significant Event Analysis (SEA) by practices as a problem.

We suggest practices read this page detailing the CQCs view of SEA and what they are looking for during an inspection. It is also worth bearing in mind SEAs also form an important part of a doctor’s appraisal.
