Updated coronavirus guidance for practices
NHS England and Improvement updated guidance to practices on 18 February 2020.
The briefing for primary care providers can be viewed here.
This includes:
- Advice to the public, including posters, what to add to your website/phone system and template communications in the event a practice needs to be closed for decontamination.
- Actions practices need to take if a suspected case of Covid-19 is identified, including if the person attends the practice.
- The responsibilities of NHS 111 and the process it should be following.
- What clinicians should do if they come into contact with someone who may have Covid-19.
We will continue to pass on relevant communications to practices as the official response to Covid-19 develops.
