June 2019 workforce survey – thank you for responding

Our latest workforce survey officially closed on Tuesday 18 June, but we are allowing those who have opened the email to complete the survey, so please do so if you have the time. If this applies to you, check your inbox for an email on Monday evening which will show as being from Dr Michelle Drage, via ComRes, with the subject line “Keep us up to date and have your say”.

Thank you to those who took the time to provide us with this valuable information. We will now analyse the results and share the headlines with LMCs as soon as practically possible. This wave of the survey was particularly important to develop our understanding of how well placed practices are to work in primary care networks.

The data gathered from previous workforce surveys has been used in a number of ways to support our work advocating for you, including:

  • Obtaining coverage of London’s GP workforce crisis in dozens of articles and reports, including on the front page of a national newspaper.
  • Securing practice visits with MPs and Assembly Members from the three main political parties representing London.
  • Being invited to submit evidence to Parliamentary committee enquiries.
  • Showing commissioners and the other bodies which make up London’s health landscape that GP practices are facing significant workforce issue.
