New Department of Health ministerial team announced

Following the appointment of Theresa May as the Conservative leader and de jure Prime Minister, her Cabinet reshuffle was widely covered at the weekend. The Secretary of State for Health, the Rt Hon Jeremy Hunt MP remains in post. News about junior Ministerial appointments has followed, including details of the new Department of Health ministerial team:

  • Philip Dunne as Minister of State at the Department of Health (previously Minister of State for Defence Procurement at MoD and has been a junior Whip, and sat on the Treasury, Public Accounts and DWP Select Committees)
  • Nicola Blackwood as Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department of Health (previously Chair of the Science and Technology Committee, and sat on the Liaison and Home Affairs Select Committees)
