Update: GP earnings declarations delayed until at least next Spring
Last week we were informed by the General Practitioners Committee England (GPC England) of the BMA that they had further discussions with the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) about their serious concerns regarding the GP pay declarations issue.
DHSC have now confirmed that they will delay both the submission and publication of GP earnings declarations until at least next Spring. This will provide an opportunity for further discussions and will be something that the GPC England will continue to take forward.
For now, please do not make any further submissions until updated information/guidance on this matter is provided by NHS England and/or the GPC England.
It is not yet clear what will happen with the data of those GPs who complied and self-declared by the 12 November deadline. We will of course inform practices as soon as new information becomes available.
