London Ambulance Service Research Project
The London Ambulance Service (LAS) is running a research project linking ambulance data to emergency department data, enabling them to look at a patient record from their 999 call to their emergency department outcome and all the steps in between.
The Pre-Hospital Emergency Department Data Linking Project (PHED Data) is looking for interested GPs to attend a focus group to help develop the project. There are frequent referrals from LAS to GPs and from GPs to LAS and understanding how both groups can work well together can help to provide cohesive care to patients.
The focus group will take around 60-90 minutes and be held during the week commencing 20 March, the time and place will set once interested participants have indicated their availability. Interviews can also be arranged for those who have schedules which cannot accommodate the final day/time of the focus group. There will be between four to eight participants who will each receive a £45 M&S gift voucher. LAS will be looking at data analysis and tackling topics such as telephone triage, paramedic scope of practice and referral practices.
If you are interested or would like more information, please email: Sophie.clark@lond-amb.nhs.uk. More about the project can be found here and here.
