Nursing Associate Consultation

Londonwide LMCs has formally responded to the recent Health Education England consultation on the creation of a new nursing staff role within the health system – that of “Nursing Associate”.

The Londonwide response, submitted by our Director of General Practice Nursing Gill Rogers, expresses reservations about the training and support required for the new role, and seeks further detail on how the role will be regulated and indemnified in a primary care setting.

The consultation closed on Saturday 12 March 2016. You can read the consultation papers here and our response here.
