Board update - April 2019
Several key decisions affecting members were taken at the Londonwide LMCs Board of Directors meeting in March. These included:
- Increasing the hourly honoraria rate for LMC activity by £3 to £100 per hour with effect from 1 April 2019. All other honoraria rates have been increased by 3.3%
- Setting a new statutory levy rate of 62.99p per patient, an increase of 2p per patient. The growth in patient population has helped to moderate this increase. The patient population covered by Londonwide LMCs in 2019 has increased to 8,636,384. This is an increase of 193,161 or 2.28%.
The Board also agreed a new LMC Confidentiality Policy to help committees determine and maintain appropriate levels of confidentiality regarding discussions at meetings, and appropriate use of information made available to members.
This is one of a number of policies developed to support and assist LMC members and officers when conducting their LMC roles, along with policies concerning Bullying and Harassment, Personal Safety, Raising Concerns and Whistleblowing and many other areas.
Please contact the Londonwide LMCs team if you would like any further information.
