Spring Bank Holiday – 25 May

NHS England are currently indicating that 25 May will be treated as a normal bank holiday, so no requirements will be placed on practices to provide additional services because of Covid-19. We would like to thank practices for their efforts over the recent bank holidays and say that everyone in practice deserves this day with their families even more than normal.

We will continue to support the BMA GPC’s work to press for the days lost on previous bank holidays to be reinstated. It is important to keep a clear account of additional costs incurred as part of your practice’s response to the coronavirus pandemic. At this time there is no guarantee that they will be recovered, but being able to demonstrate the extent of additional costs will assist with the push for reimbursement.
