New online training for London practice staff Londonwide LMCs’ Buying Group member Practice Index is trusted by practice managers across London and throughout the UK, keeping them up to date with the latest legislation and providing valuable, time-saving resources. Their recently launched “Receptionists in General Practice” course is designed specifically for all GP receptionists, new and experienced, and is delivered online. The course's four modules cover issues such as confidentiality and privacy, communications skills, conflict resolution and complaints, and health and safety and compliance. Real life scenarios are used and each module highlights the relevance of the subject to CQC and has a video and a quiz. READ MORE   ► Any questions, contact buyinggroup@lmc.org.uk.         Shredding services You can now take advantage of the a new shredding service provided by MidMeds, a main supplier to the Londonwide LMCs’ Buying Group. The service provides up to five waste consoles with a monthly on-site shredding service for £35. Buying Group member practices can choose from three different types of consoles: 120 litre confi Bin (top loading) 136 litre console (front loading) 169 litre console (front loading) Extra consoles are available for £5 per month each. The same service with off-site shredding is available for £28 per month.         MIAB Insurance MIAB (Medical Insurance Advisory Bureau) provide practice and personal insurance. Midmeds Midmeds supply practice consumables. Practice Index Practice Index provides e-learning covering around 50 subjects. Surgery Connect Surgery Connect provides GP telephony.
