GP volunteers needed for Grenfell Tower residents

Over the last few days we have seen a fantastic response to the Grenfell Tower fire from London GPs and practice teams, working in very difficult circumstances both practically and emotionally. Thank you to everyone who has helped. We have seen general practice at its best amid this crisis.

London Central and West Urgent Care Collaborative (LCW UCC) have told us they do still need help to continue supporting victims of the disaster until at least 17 July.

They are asking for volunteers to cover the following shifts each day until 17 July:

08.00 - 13.30
13.00 - 18.30
18.00 - 23.30
23.00 - 08.00

There will be a 30 minute handover between shifts.

Volunteer GPs will be working from Westway Sports Centre, 1 Crowthorne Road, London W10 6RP.

Scripts and some medicines are on site as well as BNFs, but LCW UCC do ask that volunteers bring their own GP equipment.

If you cannot work these specific shift times, but can help at different times, the LCW UCC are still interested in hearing from you.

LCW UCC’s email address is rotas@lcw.nhs.uk and their phone number is 0208 962 7604. Please get in touch with them if you can help.

Please share this message with anyone who may wish to help.

Thank you again for the support you have provided.

Best wishes

Dr Katie Bramall-Stainer
Medical Director and LMC Secretary
Kensington, Chelsea and Westminster LMC
