Keeping on top of bureaucracy in your practice
Jeremy Hunt recently announced plans to cut bureaucracy in the health service, including ending the practice of hospitals referring patients who miss appointments back to GPs and consolidating the multiple payments GP practices receive into a single payment. While GPs and practice staff are awaiting details of exactly how this change will be implemented, you may wish to revisit our resources for managing bureaucracy.
In particular we provide:
- We have a micro-site dedicated to providing resources to build GP resilience
- This site includes resilience guides on how to manage contractual and regulatory requirements
- It also has letter templates to quickly deal with requests for GP letters that are not required
- You can download posters to display in your practice which simply explain to patients some of the pressures GPs face
We also hold training events and provided blended learning, a mixture of online and in-person tuition, to give practice staff the skills to navigate through the complex world of practice paperwork.
