Tips of the week November/December 2017
At the start of December we launched a weekly tip based on common queries which come through to us from London GPs and practice teams. These are shared via social media and collated for this newsletter.
#TipoftheWeek If you wish to hand back your contract you are required to give 6 months’ notice to NHSE if there are 2 or more partners, or 3 months for a GMS single-hander. However, if you are a PMS Contract holder 6 months’ notice is required regardless of partner numbers.

#TipoftheWeek If you are a GMS contract holder you can appoint a new partner without permission from NHSE. NHSE require 28 days’ written notice, and any change in partnership must be notified to the CQC. You must also notify any change of registered manager to the CQC.

Last updated : 19 Dec 2017#TipoftheWeek GMS partnerships without a Partnership Agreement are classed as a ‘Partnership at Will’. Therefore, if one of the partners issues a letter dissolving the partnership your GMS contract terminates unless the partners agree who will take it over.
