December 2020 workforce survey – thank you for responding
Our latest workforce survey officially closed on Monday 14 December, thank you to those who took the time to provide us with this valuable information, particularly at the moment when everyone working in practices is so stretched.
We had almost 400 individual responses, representing nearly a third of the practices, and we will now analyse the results and share the headlines with LMCs as soon as practically possible. This wave of the survey was particularly important to develop our understanding of how Coronavirus has impacted practices.
The data gathered from previous workforce surveys has been used in a number of ways to support our work advocating for you, including:
- Obtaining coverage of London’s GP workforce crisis in dozens of articles and reports, including on the front page of a national newspaper.
- Securing practice visits with MPs and Assembly Members from the three main political parties representing London.
- Being invited to submit evidence to Parliamentary committee enquiries.
- Showing commissioners and the other bodies which make up London’s health landscape that GP practices are facing significant workforce issue.
