LMC elections 2020 – make your voice heard

This year every LMC seat is up for election.

Any GP working in one of the 27 London boroughs we represent may be nominated for election regardless of their contractual status. We particularly welcome nominations from those GPs who are under-represented on current LMCs.

Dr Michelle Drage, our CEO, says:

“With all the seats across the Londonwide LMC’s area up for election this is a great opportunity to add new talent to the experienced representatives on our LMCs. It’s important to get every London GP partner, employed GP, locum, new entrant and trainee GP involved in their LMC.

“This is an exciting and important time for general practice, so we need the strongest possible voice from the grassroots, as practices move to collaborate in Primary Care Networks and work within a new commissioning landscape. Only LMCs represent every GP practice in their area and every person working within each one.

“Being part of the Londonwide LMCs’ family gives your LMC greater influence as they feed-in to our pan-London leadership role, in turn Londonwide LMCs supports individual LMCs with advice, guidance, intelligence and development opportunities.”
