Calling all Digital Leads, IT Managers and Practice Managers - digital round table on 3 July 2019

We are hosting a digital round table event to discuss issues relating to expanding IT use in general practice. This is more than an information-sharing exercise with peers, it will also provide an opportunity for IT leads to feed back to a representative of NHS England on what they think about the future of IT in general practice.

Technology is already transforming the way care is delivered, with the IT and digital leads taking on a greater role within practices. Part of the day is about preparing attendees to lead the whole practice team, from reception staff to GPs, in utilising new technology.

Alison Taylor, Digital Transformation Manager, NHS England will lead and facilitate discussions. Topics are likely to include:

  • Barriers and enablers
  • A shared vision of digitally enabled practice
  • Ensuring adequate technology – getting the basics right (procurement)
  • Aligning priorities for development
  • Potential challenges facing practice staff

Further information will be circulated nearer the time.

The meeting will take place on 3 July, from 12 noon to 2.30pm with lunch on arrival, at Londonwide LMCs, BMA House, D Entrance, Tavistock Square, London WC1.  Places are limited and are on a first come first served basis.

To book your place contact Sarah Beech, Project Manager: sarah.beech@lmc.org.uk.
