Connecting sessional GPs and practices

During these difficult times we appreciate that a number of our sessional GPs working in London have found it difficult to find sessions, yet general practice is under extreme workload pressures trying to meet numerous demands.

As part of our work supporting sessional GPs, we would like to help colleagues build contacts with practices in their work areas. We have had a great response to our invitation to sessional GPs to register their availability for work in practices represented by Londonwide LMCs, with over 350 offers across our 27 LMC areas.

If you would like to tell practices that you are available, please complete this short survey stating which area you work in, your availability and the best contact details. We will need your permission to share this information with the practices in the areas that you work in. This is open to both locum GPs and employed GPs wishing to take on additional sessions.

If your practice would like a list of the sessional GPs available for work in your area at this busy time, and who have given us permission to share their contact details on request, please contact us at connectinggps@lmc.org.uk. We will provide you with a link and password to access this information. Please do not share these. It is your responsibility to make direct contact, agree terms, and undertake the necessary employment checks.

We will update our records as new colleagues are added. You may wish to contact us for updates.
