Winter planning - start encouraging flu vaccinations now
Practices should have received their stocks of influenza vaccine by now. We strongly advise that practices who have yet to do so, to start informing their patients who are over 65 years old and at risk populations of how they will be able to receive a flu vaccination from their practice.
Patients should be aware that ‘flu session’ can start as early as October, so in order to gain maximum benefit from the vaccination, they should have it early.
