Database and Membership Officer job |
||
Londonwide LMCs is looking for a Database and Membership Officer on a fixed term contract from December 2015 to December 2016 to provide maternity cover (secondment considered). Application is by CV and covering letter by Thursday 22 October at 5pm. |

QOF collection failure |
||
QOF (Quality Outcomes Framework) data for September will now be collected in late October or early November. There is no payment directly linked to this collection. |

Cervical Cytology for GPs |
||
The matter of cervical cytology training for GPs and the requirement for “evidence of training attended” to be provided has been formally queried by Londonwide LMCs with NHS England. We will report back on their response and any developments in due course. |

Tamiflu in nursing homes |
||
Practices are advised that the use of Tamiflu as a prophylaxis of influenza in nursing and care homes is not covered by GMS and should be commissioned as an enhanced service. |

Londonwide LMCs’ CEO Dr Michelle Drage responded to Jeremy Hunt’s speech to Conservative Party Conference on 7 October, saying: “Spreading diminishing energies and resources over a further two days each week is unwelcome and demoralising.” Read it here. Michelle also wrote a piece for the Huffington Post on how restoring the flow of patients through the health system would ease the burden on general practice and other care providers. Read it here. |
