Four new medical directors have joined Londonwide LMCs. They will be taking up their posts between June and August.

Accessible Information Standard
|
By 31 July 2016, GP practices must be fully compliant with the Accessible Information Standard. This involves implementing systems for recording patients’ accessibility needs and working to meet them.

Hospital Sickness Certificate Poster

At the end of May our CEO, Dr Michelle Drage, wrote to London hospitals with a sample poster, which asks patients to get sickness certificates from hospital doctors rather than waiting to see their GP.

Sustainability and Transformation Plans (STP) Update

The NHS Confederation conference ran last week and included a number of talks which touched on STPs, although no formal policy announcements were made.

On 16 June the Londonwide LMCs' office took part in the Alzheimer's Society Cupcake Day, including promoting it on social media. On 2 June our DNA policy guidance was featured in Pulse. On 26 May, our CEO, Dr Michelle Drage, was quoted in GPOnline's coverage of how PMS reviews are being managed. On 24 May, Dr David Mummery, co-vice-chair of Hammersmith and Fulham LMC, contributed to a Pulse dilemma piece on getting patients used to practice pharmacists.
