Primary Care Support England – launch of a new online portal

Primary Care Support England (PCSE) is launching a new online portal. The portal is intended to provide service users with a quick and easy way of ordering and tracking supplies, including pre-printed forms, prescription pads and other NHS stationery.

Over time, the portal will also become the main route for accessing additional primary care support services, including payments, pensions and National Performer List applications.

PCSE is planning for the portal to be available from 29 March 2016, following a trial in West Yorkshire earlier in the month.

All GP practices in England should have received a letter and a leaflet explaining these changes and inviting them to register to use the portal.

The new portal will not use Internet Explorer 7 (IE7).   At our last Practice Manager Leads Forum it was noted that some practices had not received the information and others had received parts of the information around browser compatibility.

PCSE have sent a letter asking that CCGs work with their GP IT delivery partners to complete all necessary browser upgrades across the local GP IT estate to versions above Internet Explorer 8 or comparable other browsers.  Our LMC sector teams are contacting CCGs to ensure they are taking the necessary action.

For further details please contact: PCSE.enquiries@nhs.net.
