Outstanding Apprentice of the Year win
Stran-Jay Schloss (right), an apprentice working for Londonwide LMCs, has been voted Outstanding Apprentice of the Year by her peers on the apprenticeship programme. Stran-Jay has written about what winning the award means to her.
Apprenticeships give young people, like me, the incredible opportunity to achieve amazing things by opening doors to new careers and offering worthwhile qualifications that thousands of employers can benefit from.
I was recently nominated for, and awarded, ‘Outstanding Apprentice of the Year’ by a peer-group of young people who are all experiencing apprenticeships with other organisations. It is a great achievement for me. I have been thoroughly enjoying my time here at Londonwide LMCs and the knowledge, skills and values that I am learning will forever shape my life.
This award shows acknowledgement and celebration for not only the work that I have done, but also the exciting and enlightening experience that Londonwide has given me. I am very grateful for the support and encouragement from my manager, Ann Ayamah, and the Workforce, Training and Innovation team, they have made each day more enjoyable than the last.
