General election 2017 – Summary of London results

Election night ended with a hung parliament and in London those boroughs represented by Londonwide LMCs saw Labour gain three seats from the Conservatives, Kensington, Battersea and Enfield Southgate.

The three new MPs are respectively, Emma Dent Coad, Marsha De Cordova and Bambos Charalambous. After the retirement of Jim Dowd, Labour’s candidate Ellie Reeves retained the seat of Lewisham West and Penge for the party.

Londonwide LMC Chief Executive Dr Michelle Drage has written to all of our MPs to congratulate them, warn them of the pressures primary care is facing in the capital and invite them to meet GPs and other practice staff in their constituency.

For detailed information on MPs and their majorities visit Parliament’s website.
